راه رفتن عیسی بر روی آب

یوحنا ۶:۱۶-۲۱ - مَتّی ۱۴:۲۲-۳۳؛ مَرقُس ۶:۴۷-۵۱

۱۶هنگام غروب، شاگردانش به‌سوی دریا فرود آمدند۱۷و سوار قایق شده، به آن سوی دریا، به جانب کَفَرناحوم روانه شدند. هوا تاریک شده بود، امّا عیسی هنوز به آنان نپیوسته بود.۱۸در این حین، دریا به‌سبب وزش بادی سخت به تلاطم آمد.۱۹چون به اندازۀ بیست و پنج یا سی پرتاب‌تیر پارو زده بودند، عیسی را دیدند که بر روی دریا راه می‌رود و به قایق نزدیک می‌شود. پس به هراس افتادند.۲۰امّا او به آنها گفت: «من هستم؛ مترسید.»۲۱آنگاه خواستند او را سوار قایق کنند، که قایق همان‌دم به جایی که عازمش بودند، رسید.

6:16 When evening came the disciples went down to the sea;
6:17 And they took a boat and went across the sea in the direction of Capernaum. By then it was dark and still Jesus had not come to them.
6:18 The sea was getting rough because of a strong wind which was blowing.
6:19 After they had gone three or four miles they saw Jesus walking on the sea and coming near to the boat; and they had great fear.
6:20 But he said to them, It is I, have no fear.
6:21 Then they readily took him into the boat: and straight away the boat was at the land to which they were going.
